„ge-mitus mortis“ frOc ( Bv, L, Ch) „sol-do“ - frOr (A + Y, E ) „la-do“. Das 'inferius mediocriter' kann schwerlich als Hinweis auf eine Quart nach unten gedeutet werden.
„inferni“ Versuch einer Deutung:
frOc „sol-la-si“ Ch („si“ Tractulus, nächste Neume Virga) Bv, L hebt die 3.Silbe bereits zum „do“ (gleichhoch zur nächsten Neume) Bv.
frOr „la-la-do“ Y, A senkt bereits die 1.Sibe zum „sol“
„circumdederunt me“ Das einzige „sa“ im ganzen Stück. Trotz aller diastematischen Belege und auch muss es in Frage gestellt werden. 5. Modus ist 'F-Dur ohne b, aber mit h'. Kl kann hier kaum zum „do“ gehen.

“inferni” Attempt at an interpretation:
frOc “sol-la-si” Ch (“si” tractulus, next neume virga) Bv, L already raises the 3rd syllable to “do” (same height as next neume) Bv.
frOr “la-la-do” Y, A already lowers the 1st syllable to “sol”
“circumdederunt me” The only “sa” in the whole piece. Despite all the diastematic evidence, it must be questioned. 5th mode is 'F major without b, but with b'. Kl can hardly go to 'do' here.
