● Es war vor dem Paschafest. Jesus wußte,
daß seine Stunde gekommen war, um aus dieser Welt zum Vater hinüberzugehen.
Es fand ein Mahl statt und er stand auf, legte sein Gewand ab und umgürtete sich,
goß Wasser in eine Schüssel und begann den Jüngern die Füße zu waschen.
Als er zu Petrus kam,
sagte der (Symon) : Du wäscht mir in Ewigkeit die Füße nicht.
Jesus erwiderte ihm: Wenn ich dir nicht die Füße wasche, hast du keinen Anzeil an mir.
Herr, nicht nur die Füße, sondern auch Kopf und Hände!
● It was before the Passover. Jesus knew
that his hour had come to pass from this world to the Father.
There was a meal and he got up, took off his robe and girded himself,
poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet.
When he came to Peter, he (Symon) said : You will not wash my feet for ever.
Jesus replied, „If I do not wash your feet, you have no part in me.
Lord, not only your feet, but also your head and hands!
