🔴 Ein Musterbeispiel der Restitutionsproblematik:
„eripe dómine ánimam meam“ Der zweite Teil der Antiphon bewegt sich der 2TER typ entlang (cf: 0185" „domine“ allerdings fällt nicht zum den Schlussakzent vorbereitenden „do“, sondern steigt zum „mi“ auf. Ob das nun einem colon, oder dem Gottesnamen HWHJ (DO-MI-NÉ) geschuldet ist,
das AM 1934 wird dem gerecht und entspricht hier den Neumen Hartkers.
Das PsM 1981 versteigt sich zu einem völlig anderen Melodieverlauf.
„A timóre inimíci“ Der zweifache Cento 2INC cad wird im AM unverändert wiederholt.
Das PsM gibt sich der plerosis hin und vermeidet Tonwiederholungen, wie der traditio frOc geschuldet. Die Neumen Hartkers widersprechen dem.
„eripe“ Die Neumen zeigen zweifelsfrei eine aufsteigende Tonleiter, deren erster Ton wegen des Akzentes „´domine“ auf „fa“ ein „do“ sein muss. Das AM entspricht dem, allerdings berücksichtigt es nicht die beiden Tractuli „inimi-ci e-ripe“. Das PsM folgt dem klassischen 2INC cad bei 3 praetonischen Silben. Damit sind die beiden Silben „inimi-ci e-ripe“ gleich hoch. können aber kein Tractulus sein. So bleibt nur die Erkenntnis: „inimici“ führt zum „do“ und etabliert damit´colon, was das AM nicht erkannt hat, da es H nicht eigens anzeigt.Aus dem Kontext ist es zwingend.
Zusammenfassend kann gesagt werden: das AM ist dem authentischen Melodieverlauf, den Neumen Hartkers sehr nahe, während das PsM diese Neumen völlig negiert und sich offensichtlich auf eine westfränkische Quelle stützt, die des leider nicht nennt.
Das AM ist nur in zwei Punkten zu korrigieren:
1) das colon bei „inimici“ wurde nicht erkannt,
2) der Cephalicus bei „animam“ staut, hier am Ende des Wortes „ánimam“ schließt er ab. Ein noch so kleiner zweiter Ton würde aber weiterführen. Mit diesem Beschluss bleibt für das unisonische „meam“ kein Restchen Betonung über.

🔴 A prime example of the problem of restitution:
„eripe dómine ánimam meam“ The second part of the antiphon moves along the 2TER type (cf: 0185" „domine“, however, does not fall to the „do“ preparing the final accent, but rises to „mi“. Whether this is due to a colon or the name of God HWHJ (DO-MI-NÉ),
the AM 1934 does justice to this and corresponds here to Hartker's neumes.
The PsM 1981 takes a completely different melodic course.
„A timóre inimíci“ The double cento 2INC cad is repeated unchanged in the AM.
The PsM indulges in plerosis and avoids tone repetitions, as owed to the traditio frOc. Hartker's neumes contradict this.
„eripe“ The neumes undoubtedly show an ascending scale, the first note of which must be a „do“ due to the accent „'domine“ on „fa“. The AM corresponds to this, although it does not take into account the two tractuli „inimi-ci e-ripe“. The PsM follows the classic 2INC cad with 3 pre-Ametonic syllables. This means that the two syllables „inimi-ci e-ripe“ have the same height, but cannot be a tract. This leaves only the realisation: „inimici“ leads to „do“ and thus establishes'colon, which the AM has not recognised, as it does not specifically indicate H. From the context it is compelling.
To summarise: the AM is very close to the authentic course of the melody, Hartker's neumes, while the PsM completely negates these neumes and obviously relies on a West Frankish source, which unfortunately is not named.
The AM only needs to be corrected on two points:
1) the colon in „inimici“ was not recognised,
2) the cephalicus stops at „animam“, here at the end of the word „ánimam“. However, a second note, however small, would carry on. With this ending, there is no remaining emphasis for the unison „meam“.
